/06 Documentation / Validation

The SE322 project is submitted in four deliverables: the SAD with the 4+1 views (40%, 30 Sep 2026), the architecture documentation covering quality attributes and the architectural style (20%, 10 Oct 2026), the software design documentation with the design patterns (20%, 25 Oct 2026), and validation and presentation (20%, 4 Nov 2026). The first two entries below are reference documents from earlier courses — the approved SRS and the high-fidelity prototype usability evaluation — which this architecture builds on.

Reference / Prior Work

>Intaliq 2.0 Software Requirements Specification

SE311 Software Requirements Analysis (Section 1337, Ms. Alhanouf Almutairi). Defines the scope, user classes, operating environment, constraints, seven system features with scenarios, the data dictionary, external interfaces and quality attributes that this architecture is designed to satisfy.

06.0bReference: Usability Evaluation

Reference / Prior Work

>High-Fidelity Prototype & Usability Evaluation

SE365 Human-Computer Interaction, Milestone 3 (Section 1350, Dr. Sofianiza Malik). Describes the user and coach prototypes and the tools used to build them, then reports DECIDE-framework interviews and heuristic evaluations with users, coaches and experts, along with the usability issues to fix next.

06.1Software Architecture Document

>Intaliq Software Architecture Document

The SE322 architecture report for Intaliq: architectural drivers taken from the SRS, the selected client–server style with its trade-offs, the 4+1 views, the quality attribute scenarios and the design decisions behind them. It is the written companion to the views published on this site.

06.2Architecture Documentation

>Intaliq Architecture Documentation

Deliverable 2: the four quality attributes — security, availability, performance and usability — each with a quality attribute scenario, and the client–server architectural style chosen for Intaliq, with its justification, its four components and the communication process. Its content is published on the Quality Attributes and Architectural Style pages.

06.3Software Design Document

>Intaliq Software Design Document

Deliverable 3: the stakeholders and design concerns, the client–server, MVC and layered design views, and the three Gang of Four patterns applied to Intaliq — Factory Method for activity logging, Observer for session notifications and Adapter for the AI chatbox — each with how it is applied, its justification and its class diagram. Its content is published on the Design Patterns and Architectural Style pages.

06.4Validation & Review

Deliverable 4 (4 Nov 2026) reviews and validates the design document to confirm that every necessary design decision has been made. The architecture is checked against the two sources it came from: the approved SRS and the prototype usability evaluation. Every view is traced back to the SRS features and requirement identifiers, each quality attribute scenario is given a measurable target taken from the SRS, and the trade-offs between those targets are recorded on the Architectural Style page. The log below tracks that review.

-- Review Checklist & Validation Log

Traceability: each 4+1 view mapped back to the SRS features (FR-01 to FR-07) and requirement identifiers Complete
Usability findings from the SE365 prototype evaluation folded into the design decisions Complete
Trade-off analysis: security checks (QA-01) against first-time goal creation without assistance (QA-04) Complete
Peer review of the 4+1 views and design patterns with the instructor Complete

06.5Final Presentation

>Intaliq Architecture — Final Presentation

The closing SE322 presentation: the Intaliq problem and scope, the client–server architecture and why it was chosen, a walk through the 4+1 views, the quality attribute scenarios and the design patterns, ending with a demonstration of this documentation site.
